LG Hausys America, Inc. adds 16 sophisticated colors to its popular collection of Viatera® Quartz Surfaces, which combines natural quartz with advanced polymers to create a non-porous countertop material that is stain-resistant and hygienic. Additionally, these color additions are all manufactured in the new LG Hausys $40 million Viatera plant located in Adairsville, Georgia.
The colors are part of four brand new collections to include Terracotta, Woodlands, Urban Chic and International; and these collection names celebrate hues and patterns inspired by earth’s natural splendor. Serving as an expansive effort, the colors were developed by the LG Hausys design team based on consumer market research, global trends and years of product development experience. In addition to the LG Hausys design team, the color development process was supported by two full-scope interior designers who serve as the principles of Little Fish company, Tara Rae Hill and Martiele Sineath.
“Our four new Viatera color collections reveal a superb color palette. And coupled with our market research we believe these additions will satisfy every design preference,” said Simon Oh, Vice President, LG Hausys Surfaces division. “Plus, we are very proud to be making the Viatera products in the United States in our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.”
“We love color, and when LG Hausys came to us to review their current collection of surfaces we were beyond excited. With all stakeholders considered, we collaboratively came up with a criterion to showcase collections of highly flexible colors,” said Tara Rae Hill, IIDA, ASID, principle of Little Fish. “And the technology LG Hausys employs to create its countertops is sublime so with these new color offerings we opted to celebrate this technology.”
The freshly expanded Viatera line features the following new colors:
Terracotta: Olive Rust, Solar Canyon, Royal Teak, Mesquite Moon, Nova, Bourbon, Copper Patina, Kilauea (pictured at right)
Woodlands: Juniper Trail, Silver Lake, Kenai, Charcoal Mist, Niagara, Wildwood
Urban Chic: Natural Limestone, Antique Limestone
International is comprised of the most popular and progressive color trends.
“The 16 new colors all encompass unique character and are super digestible for the customer. With the addition of these new colors, LG Hausys took quartz surfaces and really unveiled its beauty,” said Martiele Sineath, IIDA and principle of Little Fish. “We are so pleased with the final outcome.”
All colors are available immediately, and are backed by a 15-year transferable warranty. Additionally, the colors are available in jumbo size slabs including 130 inch by 63 inch for better yield.
